Let me say again that I did not take any of these photos. Wish I could say I did! They were taken by the talented photographer, Jonathan Steinberg.
The hall where my sister and her husband got married didn’t look like much from the outside, but on the inside it was beautiful and unique. It had a ‘cloud’ ceiling with lights inside and a curtain of lights against one full wall. My family and I folded (Senbazuru) and hung 1001 paper cranes from the ceiling. In our culture, it signifies luck and longevity. It is believed the extra crane brings extra luck.
As with any wedding, there were many things that went wrong! The music didn’t work right before the wedding party was supposed to walk down the aisle, guest backed out at the last minute, the cake fell, and we forgot some decorations. But at the end of the long day, we were happy (and relieved!) about how everything turned out.
Congratulations Karma and Tiffany!
Nice high-key style
